Any special preparation
requirements will be clearly indicated in your order documentation and
reminded to you by the installation manager when the installation is
being scheduled.

If your
Patio or French Door is being fitted into a full size existing opening - remove curtains,
blinds and any other window/door furnishings. If other window or door
items are being replaced you will be notified of the
order that they will be replaced at scheduling, so there is no
need to remove all coverings unless you have been told that your
installation will be completed in a day. With prior arrangement, our
fitting team can remove these items for you.

We will
always lay dustsheets in all areas that we have to access within the
property and we will remove all our debris on completion. (which
includes the old window frames, unless otherwise stated)
It is a
good policy to remove or cover pictures and ornamentation in the
immediate vicinity of the window replacement to prevent dust coverage.
The same would apply to T.V's, Stereo equipment, computers etc., |

Other
preparatory works which may be required and indicated at time of
contract exchange, could include:
- creating
new window opening
- install
new supporting lintel
- brick-up
part of window to make it smaller
- removal
of brickwork below window

Items,
such as phone lines, satellite dishes,
alarm systems are best adjusted or moved by the contractor that
installed them. If you have any doubt about an item please do not
hesitate to discuss it with us. |

PLANNING & BUILDING CONTROL
You require Planning
Consent if
your home is a Listed Building or is situated within a
conservation area. Some buildings within a Conservation Area have
less stringent requirements than others and some are not affected
at all. You Local Council will advise you of your designation.
You require a Building
Warrant if a structural change is being
made, i.e.
- creating
new window opening
- install
new supporting lintel
- brick-up
part of window to make it smaller
- removal
of brickwork below window
Should any of
the above be a requirement we can make application for approval to
your Local Council on your behalf
